Superintendent's Message ::..
Dear School System Faculty and Staff:
Welcome to the new school year. I hope you have already heard that our district theme this year is We Will.
This is a powerful statement, which will guide our work this year. We will challenge everyone to do what it takes to prepare Every Child, Every Day for a successful tomorrow. This is our responsibility, privilege and commitment.
We will all work together to create a supportive environment for employees and students. Every one of our 55 schools has a Mental Health Provider and School Resource Officer or detail police officer on campus beginning the first day this school year. Along with our local law enforcement partners, we will continue to make safety a priority.
We will continue to explore new teaching methods and innovate by finding new tools and resources to support learning because our students are preparing for careers that don’t even exist yet. We will lead through achievement and accountability. Our School System is a leader in education and our students have the highest ACT scores in the state, and those scores exceed the national average. We will continue to learn through meaningful professional development, and we will succeed by preparing students for the future.
To start the year, we will connect by telling our STPPS story. We want you to tell us your positive school news by emailing photos or upcoming events to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be sharing these stories with our community through the STPPS mobile app, STPPS Facebook, STPPS Twitter, STPPS Instagram, e-newsletter and STPPS website. These are places where you can find official news about our district and impactful stories about our students and schools.
We are looking forward to a great school year. Thank you for your dedication and hard work.
W. L. “Trey” Folse, III
