Dear Parents and Caregivers:
On behalf of the St. Tammany Parish Public School System, welcome to the new school year. Our district theme for this year is We Will. As a leader in education, we know we have to work together as one STPPS team of employees, parents, students and community members to succeed in our mission. Together, we will do what it takes to prepare Every Child, Every Day for a successful tomorrow.
We will continue to challenge students to reach their full potential and create opportunities for student success. We will lead students on the path from pre-k all the way through graduation. We will succeed by preparing students for the future.
We will continue to create ways to make our schools safer and to support our students and employees. Every one of our 55 schools has a Mental Health Provider and School Resource Officer or detail police officer on campus beginning this school year. Along with our local law enforcement partners, we are committed to the safety of our students and employees, and will continue to make safety a priority.
We know the important role parents and caregivers serve in educating our students, and We will include you as part of our STPPS team as we carry out our theme and mission this school year. Please join us as we tell the story of how We will succeed together on our mobile app, STPPS Facebook, STPPS Twitter, STPPS Instagram, our district e-newsletter and STPPS website. These are places where you can find official news about our district and impactful stories about our students and schools.
Thank you for your support of the St. Tammany Parish Public School System. We are looking forward to a great school year.
Sincerely,
W. L. “Trey” Folse, III
Superintendent
