Northshore, Fontainebleau, and Slidell all registered their first win of the season during Week 2 of the 2018 #STPPSFootball season.
The Panthers were one of three STPPS schools to pitch shutouts on Friday night. Northshore (1-1) needed only a 100-yard rushing game and one touchdown from Branyan Bounds for a 7-0 win over Salmen (0-2). Pearl River and Lakeshore each moved to 2-0 with shutout victories. Pearl River held off Abramson Science Academy 38-0 while the fourth-ranked Titans blanked East Jefferson 34-0.
Another multi-TD game by Iverson Celestine, the New Orleans Metro's leading rusher, led Fontainebleau (1-1) to a 35-19 win over Franklinton. Mandeville (0-2) suffered a heartbreaking setback as Live Oak erased a 14-point halftime deficit to knock off the Skippers.
Slidell (1-1) raced out to an early and didn't look back in a 39-7 home win over John F. Kennedy. After an exciting week one victory, Covington (1-1) dropped a muddy 24-0 contest to Holy Cross.
