Slidell High senior Alice (pronounced uh-LEASE) Santiago’s list of extracurricular activities cover almost everything from being the president of National Honor Society to serving as one of the editors-in-chief of the school yearbook. There’s also Interact, Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Foreign Language Club and FCA.
As a freshman, she played for the Slidell High soccer team and ran cross country as a junior. But she was too busy with her other interests and organizations that she is focusing solely on her academics and clubs this year.
Oh, and she’s also a member of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Panel and interns at the City of Slidell Attorney’s Office.
She’s a devoted student who has always wanted the most out of her education...ever since she was a little girl living in her native Brazil. In 2010, her educational dreams became a reality when she immigrated to the United States with her brother and sister to join her mom and stepdad here in St. Tammany Parish.
