STPPS Continues to Grow As An A School District
(11-17-2016)
The St. Tammany Parish Public School System remains an “A” district in the latest District Performance Scores released by the Louisiana Department of Education today. The St. Tammany District Performance Score grew 2.9 points up to 107, and the district has only “A”, “B” and “C” schools.

“It is a big achievement for such a large School System as St. Tammany to move the needle in a positive direction almost 3 points,” said Superintendent W. L. “Trey” Folse, III. “It takes teamwork to achieve this kind of success. St. Tammany teachers, school employees, school administrators, students, parents, School Board members and the entire community have put in the hard work to see this success, and I’m extremely proud of the efforts.”

School Board President Jack Loup said, “As a School Board, it is extremely encouraging to see this positive progress. We are proud to have 22 “A” schools, 20 “B” schools and 13 “C” schools. On behalf of the entire School Board, I want to thank everyone in our School System for their dedication to ensuring we provide the best education possible for students in St. Tammany Parish.”

The theme for this school year for St. Tammany Parish Public Schools is Focus on the Future. “As a School System we remain focused on providing students with the tools necessary for a successful future. I am always pleased to see the “A” letter grade for the district, but we will always be about more than just test scores and letter grades. We are committed to living out our motto of serving the needs of Every Child, Every Day,” added Superintendent Folse.
