Just Say No Rally Held at Covington Elementary

In observing Red Ribbon Week at Covington Elementary School, the annual Just Say No Club parade and rally took place October 30 with the largest turnout ever from several schools and several law enforcement agencies.Two helicopters landed on Pitcher Junior High Field, one from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office and the other from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Students from Covington Elementary, Lyon Elementary, Pine View Middle School and St. Peter’s School took part. Special visitors included K-9 units, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office robotic device for handling hazardous materials, and the Covington Police Department SWAT Team.
