School System Names Trigs-Keys as Elementary Division Teacher of the Year

Denean Trigs-Keys, a Kindergarten teacher at Mandeville Elementary School, was recently named Teacher of the Year in the Elementary Division for 2009-2010. Shown at center, she was introduced to the School Board at its October meeting by Superintendent Gayle Sloan, right, and accompanied by her Principal Beth Laine, at left. She was commended for her education philosophy that strives for optimum student success for all, giving children excellent thinking skills which they will carry forward into their careers and lives. Having high expectations for her students is one key to her success, Mrs. Sloan stated. Ms. Trigs-Key is active in a number of professional organizations, her school activities, as well as church and community involvements.
